But thanks be to God, who
always leads us in
triumphal procession in
Christ and through us
spreads everywhere the
fragrance of the
knowledge of him.
For God did not give us a
spirit of timidity, but a
spirit of power, of love
and of self-discipline.
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the
Almighty. I will say of the LORD , "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in
whom I trust." You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by
day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that
destroys at midday.
I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for
it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree." He redeemed us in
order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through
Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and
night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will
be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and
courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your
God will be with you wherever you go."
If God is for us, who can
be against us? He who did
not spare his own Son, but
gave him up for us all--
how will he not also, along
with him, graciously give
us all things?
For I am convinced that
neither death nor life,
neither angels nor
demons, neither the
present nor the future, nor
any powers, neither height
nor depth, nor anything
else in all creation, will be
able to separate us from
the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
